Project Management Skills: The Basics for Success
This program will focus on the four major components of Project Management – Planning, Scheduling, Controlling, and Closing Out the project. Participants will learn how to set practical goals for projects, set realistic schedules, develop a project plan, stay on top of schedules, cope with project budgets, balance the role of team leader in delegating responsibilities to peer members in a fair and practical way within the Project Team. Templates for project planning will be provided.

Position Questionnaire (PQ) Process
The PQ Process will be presented by Alena Llorens-Myers and
members of the Administrative Professional (AP) and Support
Staff (S/S) PQ Committees. Since 1994, Skidmore has been using a peer review committee to evaluate AP and SS jobs on campus. This informal program will review how and why this current system was established; describe roles of the PQ committees; introduce current committee members to participants; review the process for evaluating PQ's; and answer participant's PQ related questions.

Assessment Interviewing Refresher
This course is directed toward previous participants who attended the full day Assessment Interviewing Program. The program is designed to refresh participant’s methods of interviewing candidates for employment. The focus of the program will include what is working well with your present methods, what impact this process has in the quality of your hires, questions you may have to clarify this process and how you are applying this approach to assessing the on-the-job/technical skills a potential hire may need.

Assessment Interviewing Program
This full day program is designed to teach methods of interviewing a candidate for employment. It is based on the concept that a person's past behaviors will predict their future behaviors. It covers various ways to ask questions that help a hiring supervisor gain as much information as possible to enable them to make the best hiring decisions. There will be 'live' mock interviews with students as a way to practice what is learned. Please note this is a full day commitment as the program runs from 8:30 - 4:30. Lunch and breaks will be provided.

Management Dynamics
Who should attend: Anyone who currently leads/supervises others or is earmarked for a leadership role in the next 12 months. Participants will learn how to understand the primary role of a manager, explore varying roles of effective managers and know what's involved in creating the right environment, as well as learn how to communicate, influence, motivate, coach and delegate.
