Sabotage are messages that, by
design or accident, prevent others from properly accessing or distributing
news articles.
Here are some examples:
Embedded screen codes
- It is possible to insert
special codes into your article, causing one or more words to flash,
appear in color, bolded, underlined, or special formats. These codes,
however, are specific to each terminal type, and can cause other types
to lock into unreadable modes.
Because these codes disrupt
others, their use is forbidden -- particularly when used to harass
or annoy other readers.
Misformatted headers
- It is possible to modify
the news header in subtle ways to cause problems on remote news servers.
Any use or experimentation with such headers is not permitted.
